Most creators write and film in one language, even though their topic would interest people all over the world. Re-recording or rewriting every post for every country is not realistic. Here is how to widen your audience without multiplying your workload.
Start with what you already make
You do not need new content. A recipe, a training log, a travel tip or a product review is useful to people in other countries as it is. The barrier is only the language of the captions and the comments.
Make captions and subtitles the default
Many people watch without sound, and viewers in other languages rely on subtitles. If your platform can show captions in each viewer's language, you publish once and reach many audiences.
Close the loop with translated comments
Reach is only half the story. If a viewer in another country writes a comment and you cannot read it, you lose the conversation that builds a community. Comments that arrive already translated let you answer in your own language, and your answer can be translated back.
Write for translation
- Use clear, simple wording in titles and captions.
- Be careful with puns, slang and cultural references that do not travel.
- Put key facts such as prices, dates and names in the text, not only in the audio.
Keep a steady rhythm
A consistent schedule matters more than perfect production. People in new countries need several posts to decide to follow you.
Learn what resonates
Pay attention to which topics get comments from new countries, and make more of those.
How AICO channels help
In AICO you can publish a post or video in your channel. Subscribers see captions and subtitles in their own languages, and their comments reach you already translated, so one post can replace ten versions for different countries. Channels also support reactions and comments. See the FAQ for more.
Publish once. Be understood everywhere.
